I submitted my Upenn application on sunday. However, one of my teacher reccomendations has not been submitted and my teacher said she's working on it. How much leeway in time do I have?
How can I tell if my counselor got the letter in because she told me to use a big envelope and use two stamps and I'm nervous that that wasn't enough.
When do they read the applications? I want to make my art supplement as good as possible before I upload it onto youtube and was wondering when they actually read the stuff.
Am I supposed to get some Penn Portal thing? I heard about it but I haven't received an e-mail

Thanks!

I submitted my application on Oct. 24th and it took me a week to receive an email about Penn Portal. You probably should have received one by now though. I think two stamps should be enough, assuming the package wasn’t too heavy. Don’t stress, goodness knows we have enough of that going on…

Also, it depends if you are applying ED or RD. If you’re ED like me, I think your recommendations need to be in already. If you’re RD, you’re definitely fine because they’re spending their time reading ED applications until early December. Don’t quote me on that ED statement though, I could be wrong about the recommendations.

I’m doing ED >.> Anybody happen to know around what time period they actually read the ED applications?
Thanks leila

I don’t know for sure, but I’m assuming they’re starting now and continuing through the first week in December.

Apparently though, I’m in the same boat as you. On Common App, under “View College Details,” it lists the school forms needed, and a Guidance Counselor Rec. wasn’t one of them, only the school report and two teacher recs. However, my Penn Portal still says it’s missing a GC rec. and my teacher recs (submitted, just not processed). Did you submit a separate GC rec? If so, I’m in trouble!

The only thing I gave to the counselor was the secondary school report sheets. =/
