this semester i decided to chill, cause the other 3 yrs were hell.. Im lot happier now then i ever was despite the grade drop. OH well hopefully colleges dont look upon me soo badily.

1st Semester

French 2 - B+ (89!)
English 2 - B+ (89! again!)
Bio - B- (I'm happy with that because our teacher can't teach and everyone has Bs and Cs)

Fitness and Conditioning - A
Yearbook - Pass

I must try harder this semester. I really hate 89 now. Most of my teachers are not easy on us students.

hmmm. i dont have my semester grades yet :(
but from looking at these:
1) Some of your guys' schools either have a lot of grade inflation, really lenient teachers, or a penchant for extra credit assignments.
2) I therefore believe that all public schools should have a standardized grading system. It would make everything much more fair than it currently is.
3) I completely annoys me that some kids are able to take 4 classes for a whole semester. This would decrease your everyday workload considerably compared to a person (like me) who has to take 8 courses year round.
4) A couple of you people should probably go out to the movies or something. Please dont spend every waking our studying. This will make you a very boring person to be around.
5) I really shouldn't be talking before I get my own grades.

Oh yeah, and I'm extremely ****ed that my APUSH teacher and my English teacher refuse to give out anything higher than a 96 on essays because "nobody is perfect" Which I think is complete B.S. b/c there has to be someone that had the best essay in the class, who should get 100, and everything should be based on that scale. Its soooo annoying when I get back an essay with absolutely no corrections on it, and its only a 96. If thats the highest I can get, it should be graded out of 96, not out of 100.

alamode, I believe the right to regulate education falls under the powers of State governments. Thus, it would be unconstitutional to regulate it nation wide.

I myself have had and will have 9 courses per semester for 5 semesters my high school career (the other three had 8 courses and a lunch). I have an unweighted 4.0 GPA for my first two years of hig school, and my Junior year is looking up. I take difficult courses (as many APS and foreigh language course as I can take), yet I still manage to have friends, go to parties, have in-school and out-of-school extra cirriculars, and sit down to dinner with my family.

Stop complaining and learn to mangage your time.

That's insane. You must get some serious extra credit haha.

The highest grade I got was a 992% in Bio because the decimal was in the wrong place. It didn't last long though...the teacher found out lol.

AP Physics: A (expected)
Meh, it was easy for me

AP Literature: B- (confirmed)
Flat out 80.0%! The raw score was somewhere around 79.9765

AP Government: B+ (expected)
Most disappointing grade, could've gotten an A

AP Calculus: B (confirmed)
There was no way I could've gotten an A for this semester, even if I got a 100% on the exam. The best I could've gotten was a B so I was able to slack off on the exam: if I got a decent F, I would still get a B for the semester. Funny how it turns out that I had one of the highest grades on the exam (B).

Too close to call...
