PreCalculus: B+ (89. freaking 1, my teacher would take off a third of the grade on homework assignments if she felt the work shown wasn't enough. But I think it would be safe to say that acing her tests means I didn't copy homework.)

It's funny that out of all those AP classes, your only B was in Precalc. I'm taking the same class and it's kicking my a**. I got a 72% the first semester because it was all algebra, and I'm much better at geometry (got a 98% in Geometry Honors two years ago). This semester, we're doing the trigonometry segment of it, and I'm sure I'll get a high A.

1st semester Sophomore

Spanish III 95 (easy class but teacher doesn't give out a lot of A's)
English II 96 (Had 100 at the quarter but one book killed me)
Chem Honors 95 (Still do not understand all the electron configurations)
Religion II 98 (damn deadly sins)
AP European 95 (hard class, but teacher added 3% to everyones final grade)
Honors Geometry 95 (sucks, because more than half the class is freshman)
Study Hall 100 YAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Good grades. I would kill to have your Chem grade. I understood everything, but I never did the homework.

Your AP Euro grade is like my AP US Hist. grade, but minus 10 points haha. APUSH is too detailed. And most kids in our school start Geometry in 8th grade. Usually the younger students do worse, except for the asians :D .

On Tuesday, I get my official semester report card. I'll post my grades when I get them. Too bad that our school doesn't give out numerical grades.

^My thoughts exactly. The highest grade in my APUSH class is a 95. And that grade belongs to a girl who never used to drop below a 98. Most of the students in my class have under a 90. I think I have an 85 :D .

^ That's true, the difficulty of AP classes does differ a lot from school to school (i.e. I was the only person who got an A in my AP English class, but at our neighboring high school almost everyone gets an A), but think of it this way: Ultimately when it's time for the AP tests you'll do better if your teachers were hard on you.

Honors US History: A
Honors Japanese II: A
Personal Survival: A
Honors Interactive Mathematics III: A-
Marching Band/Wind Ensemble: A
Honors Amer./Brit. Literature: A
Chemistry: A

The highest grade in my AP Euro class was a 98% plus he added 3% to everyones grade at the end of the semester because he goes not like the way that the school weighs the AP classes. LOL I have no idea what that person would be getting then because that would give her a 101%.

Why can't my school have teachers like that?

My APUSH, AP US Govt., Chemistry, and English teachers don't give out any extra credit.

Drawing and Painting -- A
Christian Ethics and Morality (I go to a Catholic school) -- A-
Honors American Lit -- A-
Honors Pre-calc -- B+
Honors Spanish IV -- B+
Honors Physics -- B
Honors US History -- B

So, not outstanding, but my school is really hard. Especially when compared witth my previous school.

AP comp sci - A
AP french - B (wtb 2%)
Adv microbio - A
AP GT eng/lit - A
AP calc 1 - A
AP psych - A
GT mentoring - B (grr 0.5% and she wouldnt give it to me)

I'm pleased. I haven't had straight A's for years now (and still don't have them) and I prolly won't be getting them anytime soon. (Does this make me an outcast??)

English--> A
Precalculus--> B (SO happy..wouldn't usually settle for B in math, but this class is SOOOOO difficult..few people get A's and B's)
Drawing--> A
AP Biology--> B (grr...was getting an A at first, then 'slacked' off)
AP US History--> C (hardest history class EVER)
Facing History and Ourselves--> A

Grand total: 3.84

any GREAT TIPS for studying for AP Biology and AP History? sites?

I can relate. Precalc drove me crazy the first semester. It was functions after functions after functions. Week after week after week. I hate functions now, especially exponential and logarithmic functions. Oh, and I really hated logarithms. At least now we are working on trig.

For AP U.S. History, read your textbook, outside sources, review books, etc. Reading is essential for history.

Can't say much for AP Bio, but lots of people have used Cliffnotes to study.

we started with trig :) now we're doing vectors...i'm shooting for an A spring semester since i've found a good study tool for this class...>do practice problems like your life depended on it :)

crazy how i never used to study for math..just memorize the formulas, take the tests, do your homework, =easy A

our teacher this year is crazy hard..stanford graduate, actually wants to be here teaching us. first year i realize i'm actually LEARNIGN something in math.

"AP US History--> C (hardest history class EVER)"

I thought AP US was really hard too! Mostly because my teacher did not teach at all, and the book we used wasn't the one his tests were based on. We got newer ones, and he based his tests on a COMPLETELY different author/company. It was insane. Still pulled off a B, but didn't even attempt the AP test. Looking back I shouldve tried, but everyone that took it in my class got 2 or 3's. The other history teacher gave out lots of A's, but same amount of 3's...weird huh.
