Post Your SAT II's Here

harvard requires 3. maybe yale as well…i forgot.

i took 4 SAT IIs because i took them in different years after the subjects were done. 1 sophomore year, 1 junior year, and 2 senior year
the first two were both sciences, so i wanted a variety and took french and math senior year

Bio - 700 (9th)
Chem - 670 (10th)
US History - 750 (11th)
Lit - 760 (11th)
SAT I - 2230

people who are like OMGGG i only got a 2100 on my SAT or a 690 on my SAT II

SHUT UP!!! there are people who are doing so much worse, and you know you’re smart so be quiet.

Can you send in one or all of your scores? In addition, if you take more than the required amount (say 2 or 3) do you only need to send 2 or 3? Can you send more and choose not to send others?

For instance:

Biology M: 780
Math II: 800
US History: 800
Chemistry: 800
Spanish: 780
English Lit: 760
Bio E: 470

Would I have to send in all 6, or could I pick and choose?

I think for Penn you have to send in all; they require it. However other colleges don’t. Wow, mind mentioning to me how you “achieved” that 470? Were you sick?

Why would you take Bio two times?? o_o Your scores are really awesome otherwise.

its different bio’s though.

Would taking more than 2 subject tests and scoring well in all of them increase my chances?

i think that question should be self-explanatory

who looks better, the applicant with 2 800s or the applicant with 6 800s?

I disagree. One is just an overachiever. Both are intelligent.

agreed, that was the point =p

test scores that are up to par indicate that an applicant is worthy of consideration

the rest of the application is what sets the applicant apart

They only require 2 so I’m pretty sure they only consider the 2 best ones. They do the same thing with the SATs by only considering your super score. This is how other schools I’ve visited do it. It’s possible Penn is different though.

i know they say they superscore, but why do they not accept score choice? Do they only “look” at the lesser scores and only “consider” the higher scores?

anyone have a guess?

^ I was wondering about that too xs0itg0esx. But I think what you said is probably somewhat close to the truth… They consider you best scores, but then if they notice you did significantly worse in one section on a certain test date, it might make them ponder a little. Although I hope it isn’t really a big impact. Because I’m in this situation with my SATI scores… :(

SAT I Scores:
M: 730
R: 700
WR: 740
Composite : 2170

SAT II Scores:
Math II: 750
BioM: 740
USH: 720
Math I: 700

Mm…yay for Math I fail.

I apparently have trouble reaching the 750 mark.

yeah i went from a 660 to a 730 in crit reading… how do they interpret this… and a 750 to 690 in math

SATI: M/CR/W
730/730/670

SATIIs:
Lit: may/nov 650/680
math2: 690

ehh theyre alright

(btw im international and i do the IB so im banking on the fact that these dont count for AS much)

US History: 610/720 (2nd time around, after I took the time to study a bit)

Math 2: 800

M:800 R:700 W:720

Math II:800
