Post your second quarter/semester schedules!

HIST 100 - History of Western Civilization (3)
MATH 113 - Analytic Geometry/Calculus I (4)

Knocking out a lot of Gen Ed’s this semester.

I did a 7:30 last semester and never again will I. My earliest class is 10:30am and I have no classes on Monday or Friday. I was trying to schedule around waking up later and other obligations. I had no intention on having a four days in a row w/out classes xD.

British Literature II
American Literature: Themes and Issues
Computational Problem Solving (and Lab)
History and Religion of Ancient Israel
Japanese 102

17 Credits- Not sure about the workload; I know there will be a lot of reading, but I’m looking forward to the reading list for American Lit. I’m hoping Intro CS won’t be too difficult, though I’ve heard the teacher sucks pretty bad (and is, unfortunately, the only teacher). The Israel class is taught by a great teacher, and Japanese will be the same teacher as before, and just as easy. =)

I’m a second semester freshman; English/Computer Science double major.

PS 200: American Political Process
PHIL 210: History of Modern Philosophy (philosophy gen-ed)
HIST 675: Religion in Early America
GEOL 820: Natural Disasters (Natural Science gen-ed)
STAT 1000: Applied Statistical Methods (“Quantitative and Formal Reasoning” requirement)

Sophomore history major/political science minor. I never have to even look at a math book again after Stats (THANK GOD – math, just math, is the reason I’m not a bio/history double major). I know my mind will suffer through that class, but then it is over and I can forget about it forever. SOOOOOO excited!

BUSN 102: Foundations of Business II
BUSN 103: Entrepreneur Basics
ENG 102: Persuasive Writing and Reading
HIST 162: Themes of World Civilization II
MATH 102: Intro to Analysis II

Chem 112A-Intro Chem 2
Chem 152-Chem Lab 2
Math 217-Differential Equations
Physics 198-Intro Physics 2
Bio 2960-Intro Biology
Medprep 1-Class that illustrates the process of applying to med school and life as a doctor

Freshman Biomedical Engineerning major, 18 credits. Should be a blast! :D

Cognitive Neuroscience
Neuroscience
Human Memory
Animal Behavior
Organic Chemistry II
Healthcare to Underserved Populations

Calculus II
Calc Based Physics 1
Microeconomics
Spanish II
Speech

Real Analysis II (4 units)
Computability Theory (4 units)
Linear Algebra III (4 units)
Mathematical Statistics (4 units)
Careers in Statistics (1 unit seminar)

probably going to drop one of the main classes and definitely the seminar if it requires work

^

Linear Algebra III? how does that work? Here we only have 1 linear algebra course

I heard real analysis is a real B*.

Have you taken abstract algebra? that one is an easier, but more tedious B*.

Introduction in Comparative Politics
Introduction to Computer Science I
Differential Calculus
Discrete Mathematics

16 credits plus a part time job (5 hours a week). Kind of worried about this semester since I am taking 2 math classes. :(

My last semester, so I’m taking it easy.

Microbiology (4)
Intermediate Spanish II (3)
American Government (3)
Principles of Microeconomics (3)

And so it doesn’t look like I’m slacking too much, I’m getting Independent Study credit for this research I’m doing. Total= 16 credits

Iowa State? I’m seeing 310, 317 and 510 in their math department… it’s the equivalent of 510, though not the exact same topics. And it’s an undergrad course. It’s not actually labeled as “III”, but I did have to take both the lower div class computational for engineers/physics and the upper div class that serves as an intro to proofs for math majors.

I didn’t think real analysis was that bad, definitely better than some of the results with Inner Product spaces in Linear Algebra. There are some strange things, but for the most part it’s intuitively easier. I’m going to take abstract algebra next year, if I don’t switch to applied math.

if linear algebra 3 is 115B i think i’m in TCBH’s class

“Mathematical Statistics (4 units)”

is that math 170A with Chayes? make sure to go to office hours if so, he likes to teach stuff that’s completely tangential to his homework and tests.

i’m also taking Numerical Analysis and Ordinary Differential Equations.

Looking through the classmates section on MyUCLA… there’s someone else in the UCLA section taking that class as well.

Mathematical statistics is Stat 100B. But I’ve had Chayes in the past and it was definitely an interesting experience.

Finishing up my second year at a JC, I’m a Psychology/Linguistics major.

CHEM 1B - General Chemistry II (5)
ENGL 25 - Introduction to Language Study (3)
FREN 4 - Intermediate French II (4)
FREN 50C - Intermediate French Conversation (3)
MATH 1A - Calculus I (5)
