It’s not really scary NuclearPakistan1, haha. It just depends on the difficulty of the course, risks you take (in terms of classes and professors), and your interest in the course subject.

It’s possible to work really hard and get B’s and higher/

Pkmntrainerharry- Usually… Yes that’s what it means. Your cumulative GPA is figured out by adding all the credit points and all the credit hours and then dividing the two.

So. If you miss an A you can’t ever have a PERFECT gpa again. But, if it was only say an A- and only a small number of credit hours, for your cumulative GPA it may end up being something like a 3.995 that could round to a 4.0

To add to what the poster above said, if your school uses A+s, then no, you can still get to a 4.0. I’m almost there, even though I have a couple of A-s.

This semester was a bit rough because of one certain class I took where I got a C in because of unexpected circumstances right before the huge final, however since I got 4 other A’s and one A- it brought my GPA to a 3.5.

Will do better next semester…if I get a 4.0 next semester with increased credits and in the type of classes I get A’s in (like the ones I took this semester besides that C one), I’ll have like a 3.8 or so.

Composition and Rhetoric 2 - A
Basic ITM - A
Intro to Sociology - A
Mass Media and Society - AB (because the stupid teacher counts participation as 20% of our grade and I showed up to every class, and 2 my overall grade was 94/100)
Gateways 2 - Satisfactory (it’s this silly course that all freshmen have to take in my school that is only P/F)
Remedial algebra - A (because I haven’t took maths in so long and needed to take it in order to take more advanced maths courses lol)

^ I get what you mean man, I had straight 4 straight A’s and 1 B+ but then the C+ I got in another course just ripped my GPA apart for the semester. Oh well, I’m done with that type of class where I got that C+ in anyway.

^ How do you only take one class a semester?

Spanish 202- 4.0
RCAH 202 Presence of the Past- 3.5
ANP 433- 4.0 (set the curve, even though I was the only non-Senior/grad student in the class… I was a first year)
RCAH 112 Writing, Research, Technologies- 4.0
RCAH 192 Freshmen Seminar- 3.5

We don’t get letter grades. You get 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, and so on. Only .5, nothing in between.

Not so happy about my grades…oh well (my fault, got lazy at the end of spring semester)! I am taking summer classes and I am definitely going to be making an extra effort come the fall.

Economics of Developing Countries - 3.0
Global Governance (H-Option) - 3.5
International Relations II: International Political Economy - 3.0
National Latin America (History 1800’s - Present ) - 3.5

CBH 102 (computer science essentially): A

Physics 105: A+
Thermodynamics I: A (teacher doesnt believe in +s, oh well he offered me a research position)
Autocad for engineers: A+
Semester GPA: 4.00 Cumulative: 4.00
I’d say the first year went pretty well, though I worked ridiculously hard get my grades :)
