So I got postponed to Carlson but the letter didn't mention anything about my second school choice which was CLA. Do you get a second letter? Or do I have to wait until what the decision is about Carlson until they see if I can go to CLA?

What does your admission status say online?

I was postponed from IT and didn't hear anything about my second choice, which was CLA too. They'll probably re-evaluate applicants for first choice schools a second time and then make their decision.
They recommend sending in your 1st semester grades to help your app, so that's what I'm doing.

My online status said that my application was reviewed and they sent the letter January 7th. I sent in my last semester transcripts which were all A's, and i sent in 2 copies of Pride Awards that I was given last semester by my high school. So hopefully they will accept me at Carlson!

I was postponed from CBS and got into CLA, my second choice. When I checked my status online, they simply said "Congratulations on your acceptance to the College of Liberal Arts" or something similar to that. If they didn't mention anything about getting into CLA, you might've been postponed from both schools. That might be the case since there are so many applicants this year that even the most qualified students are being postponed in CLA.

When I got my acceptance letter into CLA, they mentioned at the bottom that my application to CBS was postponed and they would review it again or something.

Same thing with me tttony

Just got a call from the U, they said that I'm postponed at CLA as well... So I have to wait til April to find out

I am also postponed to carlson

3.9 gpa
Top 6% class rank
4 ap's

What are your stats?
Ur going to have a real hard time getting into carlson if u never even got into liberal arts
But good luck!

High school gpa is roughly a 3.6 or a 3.7.
College gpa is a 3.58 since i do PSEO.
I'm graduating with 44 college credits, and I'm also in my PSEO college's honor society Phi Theta Kappa.
Lots of extra curricular involvement

Interesting. I applied and was postponed from IT, my first choice. However, I was accepted to CLA which i didn't apply to. I dont know how to feel about these postponements though. I'm in state and I've only heard of 2 people being accepted to their first choice and both them applied close to the first day they accepted applications. Considering my graduating class has close to 800 people this went very differently from what Ithought would happen.

I'm also a current PSEO student who got deffered from Carlson. I'll have 13 AP/college courses by the time I graduate, I own my own business (25+% profit margin and $8k+ sales), 29 ACT, lots of EC involvement, etc.

I heard that only 10% got admitted to Carlson outright (4500 applied, 450 accepted). That's even lower than top schools like NYU's Stern!

deferred I meant*

deferred?

does that mean postponed or rejected?

^ Postponed

ya it sucks just sitting here and waiting till april 1st or whenever

im mad cause i got a not so great grade in ap calc and it was on my first quarter grades that they told me to send it

i hope it doesnt affect my chances that much

Aww, my friend just got postponed too :-(

Yeah it really does suck waiting.. I only applied to the U of M cuz my parents want me to stay home. I'm really surprised that I got postponed to CLA as well. I sent in my last semester transcripts which I got straight As in all my PSEO classes, received an award from my high school, and was accepted to the college honor society, so hopefully that will persuade them!

ya i wonder how many people they accept of the postponed list cause it seems like there is a huge number of people that are postponed

It would really suck to be waitlisted they must have really poor chances of being accepted

Btw-what about scholarships for all the people on the waitlist? Like I know some people here have great stats, and probably deserve at least some merit money. But since you guys have to wait to be admitted....do you get last priority for scholarships? Or how does that work, anyone know?

i got accepted to carlson today off the postponed list!
