Potential for University of Minnesota - Twin Cities?

Junior over here
OOS New Hampshire
Unweighted GPA (Core Courses: Foreign Language, English, Social Studies, Math, and Science): 3.62ish
Weighted GPA (Core Courses: Foreign Language, English, Social Studies, Math, and Science): 3.7ish
Took all CPs Freshman year, Honors Biology and Honors Algebra II Sophomore Year, and Honors Modern World Literature (0.5 credit), Honors Precalculus, Honors British Literature I (0.5 credit), Honors Chemistry, and AP Biology
Should mention that my GPA has been rising extensively throughout the years (3.55
PSAT: 1150
SAT: 1190 RW: 590 (Horrible at reading, but aced the writing with a 35, leading to a 96 percentile) M: 600 (Have no clue what happened here because I found the math to be ridiculously easy) I am planning to retake at least two more times, getting a tutor if I find little improvement after taking the second time.
SAT II: Plan to take Math II, Biology E, and Biology M
APs: Have not taken any exams yet
Possible Senior Year Schedule: AP Calculus (Or possibly CP, but would still take the AP Exam), AP Psychology (Relates to Biology if I major in that, counts as a history/social studies credit, and overall sounds interesting), AP Literature and Composition (Either this or AP Language and Composition. I am terrible at tests, but have done great on all of my essays, so which one ever has less tests I would likely take), AP Physics I, Anatomy and Physiology (No Honors or AP option), Honors Choir (Or at least I expect), an internship for AP Biology, and unlikely AP Computer Science Principles (Heard it is ridiculously easy, but has barely anything to do with my major).
In terms of a foreign language, I went up to French III and was originally in Honors French IV, but dropped past the deadline to take Choir (Was too late for Honors). Plan on continuing the language in college. Also plan on possibly taking a summer course of French, but currently unsure.

ECs: Varsity Tennis (9)
Debate Club (11)
Math Club/Mathletes (11)
Marine Biology Club (11)
I plan to do all of these ECs, including tennis, this year and next.

Community Service: Around 60 hours (Likely 100 by the time I start submitting applications)
Work: Possibly thinking about getting a job
Recommendation Letters: Already know of two teachers, both of which seem to love me as a student (You know who you are)

I know a lot can change, but as of now, this is how is it looking

Here are the stats by admitting college (at UMN you apply to a specific college): https://admissions.tc.umn.edu/academics/profile.html

Don’t worry about the high SAT scores right now because those are estimated off the College Board’s concordance table and it’s possible that real ones are coming in a bit lower. You’ll have another year’s info. when this is updated for next fall’s admission cycle.

However, you might want to retake the SAT anyway. Use Kahn Academy’s free prep program and take the practice tests available via Kahn and/or the College Board’s website. As of right now, UMN doesn’t superscore (but check next fall anyway to make sure that policy hasn’t changed). They tend to admit primarily on stats and coursework so you want to make sure you are competitive in all those areas (GPA, rigor of college prep load, SAT/ACT).

For biology, the most selective college is CBS but you can also do the bio. major in CLA. Also, there are science-related fields of study via CEHD and CFANS. You’d need to check each college’s website to understand better what’s offered and what your options might be.

@JBStillFlying
Hate to break it to you, but Khan Academy was useless. How do I know this? I used it for around 30+ hours, having 12.5+ for reading, 5+ for writing, and 12.5+ for math with and without calculator. I did all of that, only to improve by 40 points from the PSAT. I am getting the Black Book, which I have heard is extremely helpful in improving SAT score.
I forgot to add this information, but the only other person who applied to the college from our school (Deferred) had around a 3.6 weighted GPA and 1300 on the SAT (As they do superscoring, the highest he could of got on a single sitting was this or lower), according to Naviance. However, there are many stats that are important that it doesn’t display, such as unweighted GPA, how many honors and APs he took (if any), what he was majoring in, what his/her ECs were, any hooks, etc.

I really appreciate your feedback.

UMN does NOT currently super score the SAT. They consider the highest composite score from a single test. Again, important to check again next year to see if this policy has changed. But for now, the mid-50% range you see on the profile link would be from a single sitting, not a super score.

Good luck with the retake and thanks for the tip about the black book - I’ll recommend to my son who is also a junior.

@JBStillFlying
Yes I am aware that they do not superscore, but not sure if naviance knows that, which is why I bring it up.
