Potential for University of Michigan - Ann Arbor?

Junior over here
OOS New Hampshire
Unweighted GPA (Core Courses: Foreign Language, English, Social Studies, Math, and Science): 3.62ish (Should be 3.7 by this year)
Weighted GPA (Core Courses: Foreign Language, English, Social Studies, Math, and Science): 3.7ish (should be around 3.8ish this year)
Took all CPs Freshman year, Honors Biology and Honors Algebra II Sophomore Year, and Honors Modern World Literature (0.5 credit), Honors Precalculus, Honors British Literature I (0.5 credit), Honors Chemistry, and AP Biology
Should mention that my GPA has been rising extensively throughout the years (3.55 Freshman year, 3.95 Sophomore year, and expecting around a 4.04 Junior year)
PSAT: 1150
SAT: 1190 RW: 590 (Horrible at reading, but aced the writing with a 35, leading to a 96 percentile) M: 600 (Have no clue what happened here because I found the math to be ridiculously easy. If I found out I aced the math for the PSAT I took recently, then I will likely have them check my sheet.) I am planning to retake at least two more times, getting a tutor if I find little improvement after taking the second time. My end expected score is to be at least a 1400.
SAT II: Plan to take Math II, Biology E, and Biology M
APs: Have not taken any exams yet
Possible Senior Year Schedule: AP Calculus AB (Or possibly BC if I decide to take the class at a college over the summer), AP Psychology (Relates to Biology if I major in that, counts as a history/social studies credit, and overall sounds interesting), AP Literature and Composition (Either this or AP Language and Composition. I am terrible at tests, but have done great on all of my essays, so which one ever has less tests I would likely take), AP Physics I, Anatomy and Physiology (No Honors or AP option), Honors Choir (Or at least I expect), and an internship for AP Biology.
In terms of a foreign language, I went up to French III and was originally in Honors French IV, but dropped past the deadline to take Choir (Was too late for Honors). Plan on continuing the language in college. Also plan on possibly taking a summer course of French, but currently unsure.

ECs: Varsity Tennis (9)
Debate Club (11)
Math Club/Mathletes (11)
Marine Biology Club (11)
Science Olympiad (11)
I plan to do all of these ECs, including tennis, this year and next.

Community Service: Around 60 hours (Likely 100 by the time I start submitting applications)
Work: Possibly thinking about getting a job
Recommendation Letters: Already know of two teachers, both of which seem to love me as a student (You know who you are)

I know a lot can change, but as of now, this is how is it looking.

Should mention that anybody with a GPA above 3.6 and an SAT score above 1290 has been waitlisted and the person accepted from our school had a 4.05, a 1350 SAT score, and a 30 on the ACT.

I would say not looking good but doesn’t hurt to apply.

@Rollout
Should mention this is the top school that I am looking at (My highest reach school)

Keep improving your grades, and substantially improve your SAT (or take the ACT) to the 75th percentile to improve your chances.

@TooOld4School
I feel that people are forgetting how when someone gets waitlisted, they may have to do an additional assignment to truly show interest. Also, I know for a fact that the person who was accepted did not take too many APs or Honors, which could cause a difference in accepting one person compared to another.

@BiologyMajorHere, Cant claim to know the exact academic metrics for acceptance or denial- U.S News shows them, but I don’t know the answer definitively. But I can say with absolute certainty that what you say in your essay, and how you present yourself throughout your common app can make up for some of your academic short comings. Anyone can improve grades, but very few can improve their character (admission counselors know this). Be honest, sincere, own your mistakes, stand out and I believe you can make the cut. Best of luck to you.

@BiologyMajorHere , the CDS lists Michigan’s admission priority: grades first, ACT/SAT second. The OP has grades under Michigan’s admission average and an SAT well under the average, plus is OOS (which has an admission rate of around 20%, less in Ross and Engineering). In-state students are admitted at around 44%. Unless the OP improves his/her stats the OP will likely be rejected.
