<p>Hello, I am graduating community college in Boston this year and would like to transfer to BU next year, here are my stats:</p>
<p>Stats:
1980 SAT combined
3.7~3.8 GPA (depending on this semester) from Community College (Basically all As with a B and C from a long time ago)
Foreign language major</p>
<p>Intended major: Mandarin Chinese, International Relations</p>
<p>Reference: Outstanding/unique (I’m doing an independent study w. my Mandarin prof)</p>
<p>Essay: I’m writing one about how I went from homeless to college student, and another one about my experiences with different culture(Chinese).</p>
<p>Extracurric:
Started language conversation club
Study abroad scholarship in China
Worked throughout college</p>
<p>Other info:
White female
Massachusetts resident
GED (no High school transcript)
FAFSA EFC: 500</p>
<p>Do you think I am a good fit for BU?? I really liked what I saw in my visit there.
Concerns:
-GED
-Not many extracurricular activities</p>
<p>And, will BU give me enough financial aid? I basically need 100% financial aid (I come from a single parent household, and my mother has very low income and no assets-- no house or savings etc)</p>
<p>If any teachers or parents here would like to proofread my essays, that would also be helpful. Any other information is appreciated as well.</p>
