What is your actual SAT score compared to the scores you got when you did practice tests ?

Practice test the night before: 2280 (740 CR, 760M, 780W)
Real thing: 2340 (760CR, 780M, 800W)

practice test the night before: 580 CR, 710 M, 720 W

real thing: 760 CR, 690 M, 800 W

i can't help but notice that all of you improve your scores on the real test compared to a practice test the night before. any ideas what could be the reason?

^ Taking it more seriously perhaps? I know sometimes I didn't take the practice tests seriously enough because it was just practice so I wasn't as motivated. I really regret that though haha

Statistical variation. My scores didn't vary that much from the practice test.

Night Before:

760M, 680CR, 740W

Actual:

700M, 670CR, 690W

But it also depends on what practice test did you take. Before the real test i am planning to take the practice tests from Gruber
s ,Barron
s ,Princeton review and finally ,after all this - from the BB
