So I know that Pratt has pretty strict requirements for graduation. I was just wondering what exactly they were? Are there so many requirements that I won't have time to take any outside classes?
Thanks for your help!!

It depends on the major, so you should look it up on the appropriate website at [Our Departments | Engineering at Duke University, Pratt School](Academic Departments & Research Centers | Duke Pratt School of Engineering) . Generally, you need 5 math credits, egr 53, 5 humanities courses, 2 physics, and however many courses in your major. As for free spaces for outside classes, that would depend on how many AP credits you come in with and whether or not you’re willing to take 5 courses in one semester, but it’s not uncommon for people to have a second major (about 10 courses) in Trinity. Econ is common, and I’ve got a friend who has one in History.

BME also requires a biology course and I believe a chemistry course.

But you’ll definitely have time to take outside classes. Definitely look at the course plans published in each major’s undergraduate handbook or website though.

If I want to get an Architecture Engineering degree do I have to apply to the Pratt school or can I do that through Trinity?

No such thing as architecture engineering degree at Duke, CEE has an architecture concentration of some sort though. The bottom line is if you want to do anything at all in Pratt, you must make Pratt your primary school affiliation, either by applying and entering as an engineer or by transferring in from Trinity at some point.

There’s an architectural engineering certificate you can get but yeah you’re right I would most likely have to do it through Pratt.
