My daughter applied to and got into both the Eugene Lang writing program at New School for the Arts and Pratt Institute, both for creative writing. She received scholarships at both schools.
She first visited Pratt, and she liked it so much, that she is no longer interested in even visiting Eugene Lang. She likes the small size, the intensity of the writing program, the feel of the campus, the creative environment.
Is she making a mistake not to look at Eugene Lang?
Thanks.

Pratt is a very good school, tution is reasonable. The New School is in Greenwich Village They have been having a lot of student protests lately, some in conjunction with NYU. I don’t know if that would be of some concern to you.

Milkandsugar - Do you know the target of the protests? Are they protesting against the school or some outside entity?
Thanks for the response.

I am not sure why, but it is for social/policy change against the school. There are a host of articles on line. Please google for more info.
