Pre-Academy Information

Annapolis Parents Club of Southern California http://www.apcsc.org/
includes a link in the left-hand margin of their home page to a Pre-Academy Information Page. In addition to links to the USNA website, this page contains links to NROTC and NAPS. However, even more helpful is the link to the USNA Information Program of Southern California. “This is an excellent source of practical information for those who have an interest in attending the United States Naval Academy.” One feature that we found especially helpful was the U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY CANDIDATE TIME LINE. It’s in color (Blue & Gold!) and guides you through the application process during your junior and senior year. I found this last year, printed it on card stock in a color printer, laminated it and taped it to the wall next to our desktop computer. It was especially helpful before my daughter became an official candidate and received the USNA catalog. Tell me what you think!

Kate Lewis mentioned The Naval Academy Candidate Book, which we also found to be an invaluable resource. It’s available through Amazon.com and www.navyonline.com

Thanks I wish I had this last year! Lots of good info.

Thank you for these links--the idea to put it up as a timeline is great. We finally had to make a timeline for dd's summer...

I wanted to reactivate this thread because it contains valuable information for 2010 candidates. I would also recommend How to Win ROTC Scholarships too.

See the information regarding timeline and helpful books.
