pre-dent deferral

got this email today:

"Thank you for your application to University of the Pacific. After careful consideration of your credentials, it is the Admission Committee's decision to defer final action on your application until our regular review period in the spring.
We believe that with additional information we will be able to assess more accurately your academic talent and potential for success at Pacific. Please request that your guidance counselor send to the Office of Admission a transcript including your fall grades. If you have already submitted your fall grades, we will add the updated transcript to your file.
You will be notified of the admission committee's decision no later than April 1, 2014. Best wishes for a successful semester, and we look forward to a final review of your credentials.

kinda bummed, but i'm going to send in my fall grades and hope for the best. my stats were 4.1W/3.7UW and 29 act. i applied before the nov. 15 deadline btw. did any other pre-dents/pre-pharms get deferrals too or even better, acceptances?

I applied for pre-pharmacy program, and I got the same exact letter yesterday. I got 4.7 weighted and 4.0 unweighted. got 590 for critical reading and 770 for math.

I also got deferred for one of their accelerated programs. I do not know if I should be worried? :frowning:

Hey we got the same thing and were a little shocked to not get some sort of acceptance

Accepted to pre-dental in January. Haven’t heard about whether it will be 5,6, or 7 year program. I applied on the due date.

Still nothing for UG over here - weird. Applied in Nov. but looks like this school is off our list now - lots of other interesting options have surfaced since then but just a pity - California sounded like it would have been nice.

The decision for the accelerated program was out in January. Now, if you check your application status, your major will show if you got into the 5, 6 or 7 year program.
