pre-dent major and social life

I'm a rising senior and I have been wondering about how much the workload is for pre-dentistry majors. Are you guys weighed down by the workload so that you dont really have time to go out and party? And how much of your time is spent studying and doing work?

Here's may experience as pre-med: if by "partying" you mean just going out to eat, hanging out with friends, etc., than you probably have time to do that on Friday nights, maybe Saturday nights, and if you have a light workload one week, maybe another night during the week (this happens rarely).

If you mean drinking, however...you won't be doing too much of it. I do plenty of work on Saturdays and Sundays, and I can't afford to get up late/be hungover/etc. from drinking on the previous nights. My friends and I (mostly pre-med) drink perhaps 1-2 times a semester.

i am a pre-med freshman at college and while the workload is considerably more than most other students it is still easy to go out on the weekends. not only am i pre-med but a biochem major and i manage to have some amount of free time every day party friday and saturday nights and bak to work on sunday. it really depends on how much you have to study to grasp the content and how well you manage your time. the first semester i would do all my work in front of the computer or tv which made me take a long time to do my work so i had less free time. this semester i stopped that and now do my work in the study lounge and have much more free time.

it really all depends on you...if you are in highschool and you already study a lot to succeed then i wouldnt expect to have a lot of free time...but if you manage to sort of coast through your classes then in college you wont have that much work to do as long as you use your work time efficiently.

o and to add on to that i am taking intro bio...organic chem....and calculus/biostats as my first year pre-med courses....so its not because im barely taking any pre-med courses
