Pre- Haas Schedule Help

Hello, I'll be attending Cal as a freshman this far, hoping for Haas in junior year.
So far, I can probably get out of both semesters of the RC requirements with IB credits.
I've never taken econ before, so I was thinking of taking it over the summer at a community college instead.

So here's my intended schedule:

Math 1A
Nutrisci 10
French 3
Poli Sci 5 (was gonna do econ, but like I said, taking it over the summer. willing to switch out this class for something else)

2nd semester, I'd take

UGBA 10
Math 1b or 16b
French 13
Breadth course, maybe psych 1

Would it be beneficial to retake econ 1 at berkeley even though I'll take it over the summer? I mean to keep my GPA high for Haas? Would it look bad as an applicant if I took a prereq at a community college rather than on campus?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Economics 1 is not a particularly difficult course, so why does it seem that you are especially worried about it?

For French, the course after 3 is either 4 or 14, not 13.

Since you have to take Econ at Berkeley, you should take it with Olney who is teaching it in Fall 2014. She’s a pretty good professor from what I have heard and she has high ratings. You should take Math 16A instead of Math 1A if you want a easier time too. Math 1A is more theoretical and it is a lot harder. Math 16A/16B is a lot easier.

For that psychology 1 class for your spring schedule, if it’s for breadth, you should take psychology 2 since it will be a lot easier to get a A (less work too)
