Pre-health in LSP? and Financial Aid??

I applied to arts and science and sadly was not accepted. I went on NYU's site but still wasn't so clear, can I still major in biology through this LSP program? As a prospective pre-med i have many pre-reqs i need to fullfil for medschool, will this be possible if i attend the LSP (GSP) program? And how come I haven't received any letter stating the financial aid I'll receive? I sent in my FAFSA and CSS a while ago, do i wait till April?

I found this on the site:
Liberal Studies Curriculum Guidelines for Students Interested in Pre-Health
Students interested in pursuing a pre-health course of study at NYU will use their elective space in Liberal Studies to begin a pre-health curriculum. During the freshman year in Liberal Studies, students will take three required Liberal Studies courses and one elective each semester. During the sophomore year, students take three required Liberal Studies courses and several electives. Pre-health students will work closely with their advisor in choosing electives to help them make progress towards the pre-health curriculum. In addition to the coursework listed below, pre-health students are encouraged to engage the community as soon as possible, participating in extra-curricular activities which include volunteer projects, internships, student organizations, research projects and paid jobs.

Required Pre-Health Courses (offered at the College of Arts and Science)
Calculus I 4 points
General Chemistry I 4 points
General Chemistry I Lab 2 points
General Chemistry II 4 points
General Chemistry II Lab 2 points
Principles of Biology I 4 points
Principles of Biology II 4 points
Organic Chemistry I 4 points
Organic Chemistry Lab I 2 points
Organic Chemistry II 4 points
Organic Chemistry Lab II 2 points
General Physics I 5 points
General Physics II 5 points

does that mean i can start taking the courses listed here starting from my freshman year or do I have to wait for my junior year (after i complete my core requirements)?

Yes to all of your questions - yes you can major in biology (or anything in CAS) with LSP, yes you can start the pre-health or biology requirements right away - freshmen year you’ll do Social foundations I and II, Cultural Foundations I and II, Writing I and II and General Chemistry I and II. Soph year your lsp classes will include soc foundations III, cultural foundations III, a global culture class, and I think that’s it. 5 out of 8 of your Soph classes will be in CAS. It makes sense for you to do Calc I and Principles of Bio I and II and I guess you pick the rest - although it would be a good idea to do Organic Chem I and II soph year. Then junior year you’ll do physics, biostatistics, physiology, microbio, and more bio classes. You’ll have plenty of room for electives too, don’t worry.

Your core requirements won’t actually be 2 years long, but many students stretch them out over 2 years. I did mine in 1 year and then transferred to CAS; I reccommend you also do the bare minimum and transfer to CAS asap if you’re a science major.

i don’t really know anything about financial aid, sorry.
