The folowing is a list of the basic Pre-Health required courses. Anyone currently on this path care to rank or group them by difficulty?

How about:
Very Difficult
Difficult
Hard
Tolerable

I know it is also dependent on which teacher you ultimatelly are stuck with, any input on that aspect would be helpfull also.

I have heard that ultimately Organic Chemistry is the class that drives premeds to other majors, It would be good to know the other bumps to expect on this road.

Mathematics
calculus MAC 2311
statistics STA 2023

For the most part I think GatoreEng list is what most premeds would say. For me it was a little different because I had different interest. And I will list some of the teachers that would "bump up the level of difficultness."

Personally for me...

Very Difficult (all the teachers suck, but some TA's are great)
PHY2053
PHY2054

Hard (subject matter is not hard, just time consuming)
BCH4024 (Cohen is probably the hardest of the 8 teachers)
CHM2210 (Portmess)
CHM2211 (Portmess)

Tolerable
BSC2010 (Julian or Davis- its one of this put I don't know which)
BSC2011 (Herrera, but I like her)
CHM2045/2045L (Horvath)
CHM2046/2046L
MAC2311 (Khuri use to teach it put now her former TA does. I heard he is very hard)
CHM2211L (A great lab)
Bio Labs

It's really not that different than a rigorous high school physics class (like AP). It's just that the professors are pretty poor teachers (there's only a few professors that are good teachers in the department: Yelton, Acosta; but they don't usually teach 2053/2054). The exams are tricky. Depending on the professors, they'll range from 8 to 15 questions - that's pretty rough. Having a 10 question test, if you slip up, you could easily fail even if you are okay at the material (i.e. if the test was a written out deal, you'd be fine). On the flip side, if you're lucky, you'll love the course.

There is a pre-set curve though, so in the end, it turns out to be okay. But it's a pain, I didn't learn much in the first course. You also have to consider that people (especially premeds) just don't like physics and so it's understandable that it would be hard.

I took 2048, then honors physics 2 because I couldn't stand the format of the course.

However, 2053/2054 are similar with its issues. The nice thing about 2053/2054 is that your discussion section, as determined by your TA, is worth more in your final grade than in 2048/2049.

Yeah, its not a premed requirement, but its a good class to prep for the physical science section of the MCAT. However, only take it if you really want to. If you have free class elective, I would take a physiology or genetics class before analytical chem.

I dont think so, but I had it with Windforder. However, he should have retired last fall or spring. The lab for it is usually considered a lot harder, but you dont have to take it if your major doesnt req. it.
