Pre-major vs Major

@Propinquity You should only have that if you’ve taken classes at the UW before without being admitted as a degree-seeking (‘matriculating’) student. My transcript says “non-matriculated” because I took some courses at UW as a non-matriculated student. I’m not sure, if you are admitted, when the transcript will change to pre-major or major.

i got pre health science major but i am hoping to get biology. how do i go about doing this or what exactly is a pre health science course

If only education was funded better…then maybe we’d all get into our desired departments…

My first choice was for Computer Science as well, with a backup of Bioengineering. But they put me in Pre Science in the College of Arts & Sciences! Isn’t there any sort of Pre Engineering major? Because I definitely want to go into the College of Engineering, not Arts & Sci. Also, I have a 4.0 and a 2210 on my SAT with 6 APs, would I qualify to get directly into the major?

@sivret20, the pre-major for prospective Computer Science majors is Arts & Sciences. Computer Science is technically in the School of Arts and Sciences, even though Computer Engineering and all the other Engineering subjects are in the School of Engineering.
