I got accepted to GT yesterday (I put my panned major as BME). I am wondering if anybody could shed some light on the difficulty of of being a pre-med/ engineering student. I have also been offered a scholarship for football so please take this into consideration as well. Playing football would mean I would graduate in 5 years (I would red shirt). Thanks.
Just my opinion here. My D is a freshman at Tech and wants to do premed. She too started out BME and quickly decided that was the wrong route. According to the significant amount of research we have done, medical schools don’t care about what your major is as long as you do well in the prehealth courses. If you love engineering and think you can keep your GPA where it needs to be than go for it. Otherwise, look for a major you do love and get hooked in with prehealth advising early. In fact it might be a good idea to get in touch with them now with this question. (just google gatec prehealth advising). Congrats on your acceptance!
@BlueDevilFan Look up “Dan Doornink”.
And, you must also be aware of Myron Rolle.
There must be others.
