As I'm sure some of you have seen from my previous posts, I will be a freshman in the fall and am planning on being a pre med. I am also planning on pledging a fraternity. How hard is it to pledge something like aepi or sigchi in conjunction with general chem + lab? Thanks

People do it all the time, so assuming that you are not having an unusually rough time, it should be possible, even if not exactly “easy”.

People pledge a fraternity during freshman year spring all the time (while taking those classes) but it’s definitely not easy. I would recommend that you see how you’re doing (academically) first semester. If you’re not doing as well as you would like (more important if you’re considering applying to medical school), it would be better to delay pledging a fraternity. Those who rush sophomore fall and spring are usually more able to balance fraternity commitments, school work, and other aspects of their lives.
