so I'm trying to figure out my schedule for the next two years, mainly in terms of pre-med courses and I have a few questions.
which classes are the hardest/easiest to take together? are chem and ls difficult to take together? I've heard that certain parts of the series are difficult to take together.
does the math 3 series have to be taken before physics 6?
does anyone recommend waiting to start the ls series or the chem series?

basically, I have to take the physics 6 series, math 3 series, ls series, and chem 14 series. i just don't what order would be easier...

thanks!!! any other advice is greatly appreciated

I think it’s really doable to take LS with chem. Frankly, I believe you should get those series done as soon as possible. I’d probably start out with Chem 14A, Math 3A/B, and a GE for the Fall and see where you can go from there. I’d probably start LS sometime in the winter or Spring, but probably no later. Math 3A and 3B must be taken before you start 6A (3C concurrently with 6A).

"so if I started LS in the winter I’d end up taking LS4 with Chem 14CL. that doesn’t sound pretty…is that doable you think? "

Well you can’t take LS3 til you’re done with chem 14C (I just found out about that). So that means you would probably be taking LS3 with Chem 14CL. Also, consider taking LS2 before LS1. The two classes are fairly different and LS1 isn’t a prereq for LS2. People who do LS2 before LS1 tend to do better. LS1 has so much memorization that its better to do it after taking another LS course (so that you can gradually adjust to the workload).

^It’s actually not really that hard. Just sign up for pre-med classes during first pass and then sign up for your other classes (like GEs and electives) during second pass. It usually works out.

^ Your mileage may vary. If you always get stuck with late first and second passes, you might run into issues. If you are lucky, it won’t be a problem.
