No worries!!!
No, it is true that most don’t end up in Med School. However, to me, it makes more sense to pursue the one that provides the best chance.
It wouldn’t be smart to attend a school that was sending only 50 students to Med School each year…while UCSD is sending over 400…
If I did not end up in Med School, it would not matter much which of these UCs my degree came from.
@Ohm888 Wait, I just noticed that the list you sent was of total number of applicants to Medical Schools…as opposed to total number of acceptances… A list of acceptances might look quite different.
@kristinpete sorry, I thought it was placements.
UPDATES: it’s matches. (Placements, right?)
.
@Ohm888 The way it’s worded, it sounds like those are the numbers of students who have applied to medical school. You’re sure it’s matches into a MD program?

if you are talking about the link “health.ucdavis.edu/mdprogram/registrar/PDF 2017/2018 Public Match Results for Reg Office Website.pdf” given above then it is not acceptances into med school.
PGY1 means Postgraduate Year One. The table is a list of which residency programs the Davis med school grads were accepted into.
@mikemac Oh sorry, I’m referring to the “top feeder schools…” link that Ohm888 provided.
