<p>I would participate in one if you can... they are a great chance to connect with other freshman and upperclassmen before orientation. You learn a lot about yourself and Cornell in the process. A lot of fun. Wilderness Reflections trips are also great... have never heard anybody have anything but praise for these types of trips.</p>
