What is a better schedule?
Public Health 162 with MCB 130?
or
IB 132/132L with MCB104?

130 is with luo, drubin, and schekman
104 would be with rokhshar, dernberg, and garriga

Thank you!
I really need help deciding...

I had 130 with the same professors. It’s a hard weeder class.

You know 130 is being discontinued right? and that the new 130A has 104 as prereq.
Also, getting into IB 132L during spring without being an IB major will be very hard.

I hope you don’t mind me asking you some more stuff…

For MCB 130, could you rank how hard it was compared to, say, Bio 1A or MCB102?
I’m choosing between MCB130 and this mystery class MCB104…

I was originally signed up for MCB104 but have seen easy ass ratings for MCB130 teachers on ratemyprofesors so I’m stumped. Especially since you as well as everyone else I’ve asked think 130 was hard.

Based on your experience in MCB130, which would you take if you were me?
MCB130 or take a chance on this 104 class?

I’m an IB major so this will be my first MCB classes so I really trust your opinion over mine, even if you’ve never taken 104 (or had Garriga or rokhshar).

Thank you so much

Bio 1A, for me, I just had to go to lectures and do the readings watch webcasts and work hard, it turned out well. Like most other lower division science classes.

130 is very different, very conceptual. Lots of different experimental cases and scenarios that you have to really understand thoroughly. That sets some of the upper div MCB classes apart from the lower div ones, IMO.
