pre-req and manual waitlist question

<p>what happens if you sign up for a class on telebears without fulfilling the prereqs? i noticed that there was nothing stopping me from signing up for classes such as math 53 without fulfilling prereqs</p>

<p>also, i signed up for math53 and was waitlisted (because all the dis groups were full but the lec group was only half full, why?????), and since it was a manual waitlist, my calso counselor suggested that i contact the professor/math dept to try to get off the waitlist into the class</p>

<p>i took calc1 and 2 at a CC and got an A, took calc3 (with 7 HS classes, 4 of which were APs) and got a B, and i got 4s on both the AP Calc AB and BC exams (oh wells). i am planning to retake math53 just so i can learn it better</p>

<p>what should i do? contact math professor?
or just wait?</p>

<p>You might get booted out later. The system does occasional scans every few weeks to see if people have fulfilled prereqs. Though some ppl do slip thru the cracks.</p>

<p>If you're waitlisted for discussion you're automatically waitlisted for lecture too. Just how the system works...</p>
