for the english/ literature requirement pre req for haas, can I take the class Pass or no pass? I added into the class late and they prof. said the highest grade I could get was a B. I think i'll take it p/np or not take it at all and just wait 1 more year to take it then.

As I am sure you already know, UCB’s HAAS is a very hard program to get accepted into and you do not want ANYTHING to look bad or be a disatvantage to you when applying. That said, although this grade of “pass” is not factored into your GPA, most schools consider taking a pass/no pass class the same as getting a C in the class. I would not recommend taking any class as pass/no pass unless it is not a pre-req and not part of IGETC. This should be used more for classes you are taking "just because or “just for fun”.

did you apply this fall? But if he takes it again for a grade, they will look at that one right? So no harm taking it now i guess? only thing is will Haas see the P/NP as fulfillment of the Pre-Req, idk.

yea i applied in the fall. Does anyone know if haas sees this as a fulfillment for the pre-req then?

All prereqs must be taken for letter grade. its on the site: [Transfer Eligibility, Undergraduate Program - Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley](http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/transfer_eligibility.html)
