First of all, WoW. You have great taste when it comes to schools. And I would have to agree with quinncummings30 for most of them except for the fact that the schools quinncummings30 put as high reach love students that can balance extremely high rigor with ec and more if its at competitions so i would keep those high reach as just reach

Thank you!

Pretty solid profile but nothing too spectacular for these schools. All of your schools are some of the hardest to get into, especially CMC, Pomona, Williams, Amherst, Bowdoin, WashU, Cornell, Penn, Columbia, Dartmouth, Yale, and Stanford- which are reaches for everyone that applies. However, that isn’t to discredit the selectiveness of Emory (especially scholars), Davidson, or Haverford. I think what you’ll end up seeing is a pattern of rejections, waitlists, and acceptances, but not something that will evenly match the acceptance rate differences.

post the results!

Ok, just wanted to update – I received an early write from Amherst last week. 13 predicted accept, 8 predicted waitlist, and 3 predicted deny, so the majority was correct.

Anyone want to make predictions for the rest?

Emory (Scholars): accept
Davidson (Belk): accept
Claremont McKenna (Have very high profile alumnus relative): accept
Pomona: accept or waitlist
Williams: accept
Amherst: early write–> accept
Haverford: accept
Bowdoin: accept
Washington University in St. Louis (Arts and Sciences): accept
Cornell (CAS or Plant Bio in ALS): accept
Penn (CAS): waitlist
Columbia (College): accept
Dartmouth: waitlist
Yale: reject
Stanford (LEGACY): accept or waitlist

Update: I was waitlisted at WUSTL, which was a little disappointing, but I certainly wasn’t going to go there over Amherst. Interestingly, no one predicted waitlist (despite the fact that Wash U waitlists a ton of folks!) The majority was accept with 19 over 5 rejects.

Update: waitlisted at CMC and Bowdoin, accepted at Davidson and POMONA!!!

So I guess I’ll start by saying college admissions make no sense. I got into Williams yesterday, then Emory today. In the Ivy League, I was rejected (not even waitlisted) by Cornell, Penn, and Dartmouth. But to my great surprise, I was accepted by Yale and Columbia. I don’t think anyone predicted I would be admitted into Yale, and very few said Columbia. So maybe chance threads really aren’t accurate at all. Who knows? I’ll post again after I hear back from Haverford, and also Stanford, but I’m honestly not holding my breath at this point. Yale was my #1, Columbia was my #2.
