Just extrapolating from currently rising trends in the Freshman Admission Profile...

Weighted GPA: ~4.33
Unweighted GPA: ~3.83
UC GPA: ~4.13
SAT I: ~2015
SAT II: ~730, ~685

What is the different between Weighted GPA and UC GPA?

UC score may provide a better comparison.. just a thought
CaliforniaColleges.edu - Scholarship Requirement

Taiwan: UC GPA is the GPA from Grades 10 and 11.

UC GPA is limited to 8 honors/AP points from 10th-11th grade. Unweighted, there is no limit and is for all 4 years.

Drop any + and - from grades when calculating UC GPA.

Only include recognized a-g types of classes. No PE, no religion, etc.

I say holistic admissions will skew the data and we'll probably have a more diverse socioeconomic make-up and that sort of thing... and a surge in AAP students. So really, UCLA's getting more applications. More kids are being qualified from "ELC" (not necessarily a trend in higher quality students either) and more people are applying. Says nothing about the quality of the students - maybe about the availability of applying to colleges though. So, how is UCLA going to serve the disadvantaged students...? It's not like Covel or Campbell are getting any bigger.

I would say something about socio-economic castes and ethnic variations in student quality (measured by GPA/SAT scores) among UCLA applicants not from the Silicon Valley region, especially having to do with the peculiar number "96", but it wouldn't be "holistic", and downright controversial, see... knocks on wood

i hope grades/scores will play less of a role as EC's will play a bigger role, thus seeing a final decrease in GPA compared to last year. however, we never know. that dang holistic system

^Go to bed and stop thinking about it!
