Predictions for the Future of the World

I know, but with increased globalization and inter-connectedness that is apparent in our modern political and economic system, the Great Depression could be only a minor recession compared to what might happen to the world. You never know.

My future is so bright, I have to wear sunglasses

The recession will end over the next few years, as will the Iraq war and maybe Afghanistan. People will have a more cautious financial mentality from all of this, and will return to living within their means. The economy will become very stable and grow rapidly, and we will have another period of happiness like the 1950s. Public backlash against unions, along with better management will result in renewed industrial production. America will reassert its world dominance and nobody will mess with us for several decades.

Just my idealistic view of what I would like to see happen.

Then in several hundred years America will collapse, and several hundred years after that, people in a new civilization will be learning about us like we learn about the Greeks and Romans. Weird to think about.
