Premed at Williams vs. Premed at Cornell?

Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards Williams myself.
I'd love to hear from awesome advice from all you experienced premeds/med students :)

first please read: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-topics/377780-premed-forum-faqs-read-first.html

second, i believe you are making the right decision, since Williams is smaller, more chance to get to know your profs and possibly do research with them. But i am biased toward LACs.

Oh wow, that is a WEALTH of information!

I’ve seen that Williams has a ridiculously good med school acceptance rate: over 90%. This is compared to Cornell’s rate of 75%. However, I NEVER see Williams talked about as one of the great “premed” schools, like Hopkins, Duke, etc. Why is this?

probably cause Williams’ study body is smaller than these big U’s so you don’t hear as many students bragging about it on the boards- just a guess. Or since JHU and Duke have great med schools, people assume undergrad is just as awesome? Just make sure you visit both of the schools to make sure the school fits you.

Thanks for the advice, madamebovary.
Williams is still looking like number one, but I have a major interest in foreign languages and am not sure whether Williams has a strong department in them.
If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know!
Thanks :)
