<p>I'm going to Columbia this fall and am thinking of going premed (the required courses that is). Can someone tell me how difficult being a premed at Columbia is (of course its difficult anywhere); but are you basically living in the books your four years? Is the environment cuthroat for premeds and how well do they do in terms of admissions to med schools? Thanks a bunch.</p>
