Prep books for the subject tests

Any recommended prep books for :
Physics
Math Level 2
US History
Basically I want(for each subject) an easy, simple book and another detailed one.

I looked at a good amount of threads here, and it seems that the Princeton Review one (cracking the sat) is the most recommended book for Physics. Sparknotes might also help, as you’re probably going to self-study a fair amount of the subject. I myself am taking Physics next June, and am planning on getting PR and using it along with Barron’s, Sparknotes, and Holt’s Physics (the one you’re using for school).

For Math II, I would suggest Barron’s. Even though almost everybody says it’s way harder than the real thing, being over-prepared for Math is better than being under-prepared.

I took US History yesterday, and after researching what books to use/what people recommend, I would suggest the following three sources:

AMSCO: Probably the best US History prep book there is. Haven’t got to use it myself, but everybody recommends it, even though it’s designed for AP. You’ll have to order it online though, as it’s not available were you live.

Sparknotes: A good review, but I won’t suggest solely studying for it if you’re aiming for an 800. Practice tests are a bit harder than the real thing, but are pretty helpful. It also has a great glossary that I suggest you memorize before the test.

REA Crash Course: A lot of people say it’s helpful for these random things that appear on the test. It’s also a pretty short read from what I heard (2-3 hours).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
