Here it goes,
I'm a junior in high school at the moment and I havent taken the SAT yet. I signed up for the June SAT and thats the first one I will be taking. I havent taken any practice SAT tests yet either.
I was planning on taking the Princeton Review courses for the June SAT, but my question is, should I just get an SAT prep book to study for the first SAT (June SAT) and see how I do the first time? Then, take the Princeton Review Course over the summer, because Im also taking the test in October and November.
OR take the Review Course for the June SAT, see how I do with it and study out of a book over the summer (to prep for the October and November SAT).

If it helps....I usually like someone to teach me the material I need to know....
I have a 97.2 overall average, Im strong at writing, not to strong at reading and weak in math AND in all seriousness, I AM NOT the best test taker!

Please help me, thanks!

Definitely give it a shot yourself first. if you get what you want, youve saved money and stress. if you dont, you can prep over the summer. re whether to go princeton or not, I’m not sure on the linking rules here, so I’ll paraphrase. your best bets in tutoring will be 1:1 attention, from a place that uses real previous sats to measure your progress (not their own tests) and that will refund unused money if you dont want to keep going.

also i’d move the retake time frame up to sept, at latest oct. do NOT be one of the seniors freaking out waiting on scores while everyone else is applying and getting accepted already.

I agree with batgirl. Get the Blue Book and take a few practice tests so you know what you’re getting into. Then take the test in June and see where you might need help. Your best instruction is going to come in a 1-on-1 situation with a private tutor. Ask around to get recommendations. There is also a lot of good advice strewn throughout this forum.

Hope it goes well for you!
