Hey I'm apllying to Choate, Deerfield, Groton, Concord, and Exeter. Does anyone know if you can still get a job in town while attending these schools full time? Or do they offer student jobs on campus?. I could really use the extra cash.

Hmm…I don’t think that’d be possible. You would be too busy with social things, trips, HW, etc. Plus, the stores probably wouldn’t hire such young teenagers (I should know, I tried applying for jobs near me but you had to be 18 or older for ALL of them). Maybe you could try getting a job in the summer, like teenager-y stuff babysitting, dogwalking. I also know some sites pay you to take surveys for them, and you can get free stuff too.

Hotchkiss (I know your not applying there) has a lifeguarding class, and they can pay you after you take that to work as a lifeguard, but that’s the only one I’ve heard of.

thanks beebee. My sister thought the same thing. She went to Exeter summer school and she said u always have a full shedule. I can always try a summer job in my hometown. Do u know if we can stay for some vacations like spring break? And I’m a terrible swimmer Paper but thanks :)

At Deerfield, there are opportunities for you to find work. You could babysit faculty kids or work in the Greer, the student center.

Cool. I’m good with kids. I have my Deerfield interview in two days so ill ask about it.

Exeter has some work study jobs available–in the library for example–not many hours, but it’s a way to earn a little spending money.
