PREP SCHOOL RANKING GAME 2015 Edition!

Reviving last year’s ranking game! 2015 March 10th Freakout Edition!!!

Credit to @needtoboard for coming up with the game last year!

Here are the rules:

  1. You may play once a day (called a ‘turn’)

  2. Each turn, you may add a point to one school, and subtract a point from another. State your changes at the end of the post, and make the change to the actual numbers beside the colleges. Obviously, you should copy and paste the post before you instead of rewriting the entire list.

  3. Once a college reaches ‘0’, it is removed from play and given a ranking (ex. ‘Peddie is the 23rd ranked boarding school on College Confidential.’).

  4. When all but one are eliminated, the remaining boarding school is named the winner.

So, do you want to find out where your favorite prep schools stand? YOU decide their fate. Once all the boarding schools have been ranked, I’ll post a final list of the rankings.

A little additional info: The prep schools present on the list are those with a less than 40% admission rate and more than 300 students. Yes, I know these rankings aren’t necessarily accurate, but I needed a cut-off point (the game wouldn’t be any fun if there were too many on the list). If your favorite boarding school isn’t included, sorry. I can’t please everyone. The single addition and subtraction rule is subject to change, though. Eventually, a few schools will share hundreds of points, and it’ll be beneficial to allow posters to subtract two points while only adding one.

I will start:

That reminds me, about the whole rivalry between Choate and Deerfield, did you know in Choate they say Duck Feerfield during like inter-school competitions. Ahaha I am actually not kidding, my friend actually verified it.

Closing thread. Personally I’m over this game. I have no objection to it being here, however based upon the parameters as set forth (less than 40% admission rate and more than 300 students), eligible schools are not included. SAS and NMH come to mind. Also it’s a bad sign when post #0 has an error in calculation, starting Choate off with 6 points.

If someone wants to do the due diligence and validate the schools, be my guest. If it’s simply going to cut and paste last year’s data, this won’t go far.
