Okay, I know earlier versions of this game "shut down" because people claimed it was pointless (since people were just voting for the schools they would be attending in the fall). Thus, I want to establish beforehand that this new version of the original game (by browneyedgirl8) is not trying to achieve any real, distinct purpose– this game was created solely to bring some harmless competition back into our threads! Aaaand it'll get us psyched for the next admissions cycle!

(note: the following instructions were copied & pasted from @needtoboard & @prepschoolplease's versions of this game.)

If you're not familiar with a plus/minus ranking game, here are the rules:

1) You may play once a day (called a 'turn')

2) Each turn, you may add a point to one school, and subtract a point from another. State your changes at the end of the post, and make the change to the actual numbers beside the colleges. Obviously, you should copy and paste the post before you instead of rewriting the entire list.

3) Once a college reaches '0', it is removed from play and given a ranking (ex. 'Peddie is the 23rd ranked boarding school on College Confidential.').

4) When all but one are eliminated, the remaining boarding school is named the winner.

So, do you want to find out where your favorite prep schools stand? YOU decide their fate. Once all the boarding schools have been ranked, I'll post a final list of the rankings.

A little additional info: The prep schools present on the list are those with a less than 40% admission rate and more than 300 students. Yes, I know these rankings aren't necessarily accurate, but I needed a cut-off point (the game wouldn't be any fun if there were too many on the list). If your favorite boarding school isn't included, sorry. I can't please everyone. The single addition and subtraction rule is subject to change, though. Eventually, a few schools will share hundreds of points, and it'll be beneficial to allow posters to subtract two points while only adding one.
