In the fall I will be starting my junior year in high school, and I genuinely hate the school I currently attend. I really want to spend my last two years at and graduate from a different school. I was wondering if there were any schools that would be more likely to accept mid-year new students (even as juniors).

I applied and was admitted to multiple schools leading up to my freshman year, but some health complications made it so going to a new school was not an option.

Let me know if you have any ideas, please! :)

I don’t know about schools accepting you mid-year, but have you considered doing a repeat year so you can get 2 years in?

You can use the search tool on Boarding School Review and check ‘Select Rolling Deadline’ (#7). You can enter other criteria as well to help narrow your search.

Good Luck!

Unfortunately I’m already old for my grade. I repeated pre-school so I had more time to become more emotionally mature before beginning kindergarten. I will already be 19 when I graduate, so I think doing a repeat year would be a bad idea for me.
