If I want to go to pharmacy school in the future, is it ok to go to a school without pre-pharmacy program for undergrad? Right now I’m thinking about going to Trinity majoring in biochemistry. I know a lot of people are doing well in this major because of the pre-med program there, but I can’t seem to find plenty of resource for pre-pharm so far. What are your suggestions?
Easy, pick up the phone and call Admissions. They will either have the answers, or can direct you to the correct resource.
My S’s best friend was just accepted to a Pharm program–get ready to work!
Good luck to you.
@ColdinMinny yeah that’s what I planned to do too. Thank you!
Pre-Pharm and Pre-med are going to be similar and need a similar support system. Trinity is a great school. When we visited we were very impressed with the caliber of students and the strong support systems. Take advantage of the resources available to you and you’ll have a great experience there and be well prepared for Pharmacy school. Yes, contact the school and ask directly. You won’t be the first pre-pharm student they will have had.
@Parentof2014grad What you said actually makes a lot of sense! I like Trinity a lot and this is basically my only concern right now. I’ll keep you posted after I contact the admission!
