So ive got about 12 days before i head off to college. I was wondering did any of you did any sort of preparing during the summer. I feel like the last 3months has just been fun and relaxing and i haven't used my brain at all it seems like. Is it bad that i go in without doing anything intellectually stimulating for 3 months? Especially to a very difficult university??? I feel like maybe i should've done something like read more or something that involves schoolwork to get me ready. Did any of you guys do anything or am i just overreacting??? Am I in for a shock or is 3 months of rest the best way to go into college?

Depends on what you are getting into. My major is applied math; I'll have to take a lot of upper div math courses. That means I'll need to do proofs. Hence, I reading out of a intro proof book since they usually don't cover that stuff(not in depth anyway). I take it you're a freshman. That probably means you'll be taking courses that you've taken before since AP is more or less the same content as intro college courses. There's not much prepping there. So maybe get a study strategy book like this one,Amazon.com: How to Become a Straight-A Student: The Unconventional Strategies Real College Students Use to Score High While Studying Less: Cal Newport: Books
and use it to help you develop good studying skills.

Another good idea is to go to cal newports blog alot of the tips which are in the book and some that are not is included in his website.

What if you plan on taking a tough major???

Go read a book to relax and stop worrying.
