"Preppy" Clothing

^^That’s strange…

lol i dont really think about where a shirt hits. i mean i think about where a skirt/dress hits haha is that the same?

Well when its too short or too long, it looks bad. Simple as that lol.

Obviously its really different from the skirt thing.

^^Haha, wow, I don’t really care that much about how long or short a shirt is, except I don’t like them to be very long. I prefer the shorter shirts, but not too short or else that’s just weird.

Well I obviously don’t need it exact, it just needs to be approximately that length. But when you spending like 70-80 bucks a shirt, you want that shirt to be damn good.

^^That’s true, but that’s also why I spend only about 15 bucks on shirts.

^ONLY! 15 bucks is a fortune for a shirt. You can get the same junk at a garage sale for 50 cents. To prove this, some of my recent buys are, in cents:
-Polo (the company) collared shirt: 50
-Adidas warmup pants: 100
-Nike t-shirt: 50
-Adidas collared shirt: 50
-Bears jersey: 200
-Turnbull & Asser tie (English royalty clothier): 50
-Hart Schaffner Marx tie (Obama’s clothier): 50

From past summers, the list is much larger. I’ve toned my buying down a bit because I have too many clothes, because I stock up because they’re so cheap.

i agree that lacoste material is a bit thin. agreed that polo is kinda long on the tail (but custom/slim fit fixes that issue).

[If you wear Sperrys and Polos then get the ■■■ in here… - Page 257 - Bodybuilding.com Forums](If you wear Sperrys and Polos then get the ■■■ in here... - Page 257 - Bodybuilding.com Forums)

^^200+ page thread dedicated to this topic as well :]. my wallet has been hurting this summer

GammaGrozza, oh boy. I need to get me some of those deals!

dude RL is having a sale on their summer colored polos 50 bucks a pop. also outlets are cheaper and if you have a marshalls or tj maxx then they are like 20-30 bucks

A friend of mine is helping me get a job at the polo outlet where he works. Pretty awesome!

Yeah just like drive through suburbia on Saturday from 10-3.

But, I should add, there is a certain niceness in getting something new from the store and being able to cut off the info tag. So yeah sometimes I still hit up the Kohls or Sports Authority.

^^Ok, that’s where I usually get stuff from (Kohls, etc). I was always a little hesitant about garage sale clothes.

i like new clothes. =/

Lol, smiley, I really don’t care that much. I at least want my belt to be covered when I untuck my shirt because I don’t want to look like a meathead-bodybuilder showing off my figure in a tight shirt lol. Haha, I just want to look “clean prep” wherever I go.

GammaGrozza, I respect that you like to do this, but I buy my clothes severely discounted at outlets. I buy $100-150+ Nike basketball shoes for $30 bucks, sometimes cheaper. As for shirts, I like my clothes to be clean, plus younger family members can where such clothes as well.

The most expensive thing I have purchased in the last few years are Colehaan dress shoes & a Ralph Lauren suit. I buy Lacoste shorts for $20-30, Lacoste shirts for $25-40, Polo jeans (original $115+) for less than $35.

I even buy Lacoste socks cheaper than those at Wal-Mart. My Polo shirts are at least 55-80% off. Deals are out there, never buy sticker everybody! Plus, you must have good garage sales in your area lol. My town’s sales are always junked lava lamps and knick-knacks. :D

are you saying you have a figure? haha :p

What can I say, I’m a muscular, athletic guy  Lol, I meant like “body,” just because some people like to show off their body in a pretentious manner, but I am not the flashy type. Don’t hate me because I am beautiful…;)

“Lol, smiley, I really don’t care that much. I at least want my belt to be covered when I untuck my shirt because I don’t want to look like a meathead-bodybuilder showing off my figure in a tight shirt lol. Haha, I just want to look “clean prep” wherever I go.”

Haha, I’m really too slim to look like that, so that is why I always need to wear really small sizes and stuff. Tennis/Track…they really don’t help your physique much.

@Dremaer: Yeah, deals are definitely there in stores, too. I never said anything against that. Just pointed out the option of garage sales.
Solid advice. At real stores, I have the feeling that the sticker price is there just for suckers. If no suckers existed, the market price would be the sale or clearance price. Like there’s no way a simple Polo shirt should be 120 (price I saw at some departement store the other day).

i hate looking through sale racks though, so unorganized imo. i like when stores have like 20%-off-every/select-items kinda sales
