I actually had an issue with course sequences with UCLA, which is a big reason I ended up choosing a different major early on. There were 3 classes that needed to be taken in a sequence. I took 2 of them (many years ago), but i had already taken them at 2 different schools in 2 different districts. (Santa Monica college and west la college). I had already passed them both, so I couldn’t retake them, to have the sequencing match up.

UCLA basically told me that the likelihood of me getting in without the proper sequencing of those courses was slim to none. There’s was nothing I could do, so i switched majors and kept it moving.

Yikes, do you remember what those classes were, or at least the subject? Fortunately I’m staying in the LA district of schools, so there’s no sequence issues at all, in any subject here. It’s when someone steps out to SMC or El Camino when they need to really pay attention.

The major was Psychology.

@2016Candles Why didn’t you just complete the entire series at one college? Your CC didn’t have to know that you had already taken some of the classes.

Aside from the dishonesty factor, I had already submitted the transcripts to them before I knew anything was an issue. It’s cool. I actually found that I have more of a passion and an affinity for sociology, so it worked out better for me anyway.

@theoldguy at assist.org, it will show if there are sequencing requirements. Not all sequences have that requirement.

@2016Candles smart maneuvering on your part.
