Do all pre-reqs need to be done at one CC? Or can you take some of the pre-reqs you need at different CCs?

Short answer, yes you can go to more then 1 CC.

You can mix and match CC’s. Just make sure that all the courses transfer to your intended UC ('s) on assist. It’s also much nicer if you’re able to complete a whole series of a subject at one CC, ie. Physics A and B at the same CC. Sometimes you might run into weird situations where A wont transfer over to another CC and they wont let you take B there. But, if you’re taking something like English over at one CC and math and GE’s at another they don’t care. Most people end up taking coursework at more than one CC as all their pre-reqs might not be offered at just one CC.

Thanks sooooo much for the info! It’s greatly appreciated (=

I have coursework from 6 different CC’s! Lol. I’ve moved around a bit.

Lol geez louise. Did you transfer or are you planning to?

I am transferring to UC DAvis this fall (Sept 27!). I have been going to cc for many years as I am an older student. I have gone to 4 different cc’s in 4 different parts of California. It made no difference at all in my admission to Davis. When you apply you must enter every class ever taken at any cc on the application and everything gets totaled up. Which means the D I got 20 years ago did factor in my GPA.

Should have looked into AR.
