<p>How do you know if you are going to preseason? Is it only for varsity and junior varsity athletes? Can freshmen go even if they are on the thirds teams?</p>

<p>only varsity prospectus freshman you have to be invited if you are a new student. they have JV and thirds tryouts when school starts</p>

<p>Preseason is for returning varsity players and varsity recruits. The coach will invite you.</p>

<p>^^Not really. At my son’s school, there is a baseball pre-season. Some years they go to Florida during spring break; other years the athletes are asked to return to school early.</p>
<p>yeah most spring sports go on a trip to Florida, or somewhere warm in the south over spring break and they train for a week over so before returning home</p>
<p>Well, most of the sports are fall season and they are the bigger sports too (ie. football, volleyball, cross country), but I am sure there are preseasons for some spring sports too.</p>

<p>Actually some people (ie me) actually like to run long distances. People who do XC are usually the same people who do track. </p>

<p>Actually, at my alma mater we had preseason in the fall and freshmen and new students were invited to attend. In my opinion even if you suck at the sport go! I made ALL of my friends my freshman year during preseason. It was so much fun and I also got to know some cool upperclassmen</p>
