Presidential scholarship 2013

I’m not sure of the method. I just assumed they would call. I’m pretty sure they said they would have decisions made by today. (That was the announcement at the closing presentation on the weekend we went for the interview – Feb 20-22). Did you guys go to the same weekend or the previous weekend for interviews? If you went to the previous weekend, is that they date they told you also?

When they called for interviews, the people who got an interview got a call; others got a letter. I’m pretty sure my daughter got her call around 6:45pm (eastern time; we’re in Ohio).

I guess I assumed everyone would all get a phone call this time around since there aren’t as many students. I’ve heard that even if you don’t get the full tuition scholarship, they often tack some extra money onto your current scholarship.

The wait is agonizing - especially from slu who have taken efforts to make a personal contact at every opportunity in this journey. Keeping my fingers crossed - maybe I didn’t make it.

Someone posted on the SLU Facebook page that they didn’t have results on Friday and they will be making calls on Monday instead. I hope she’s right. Good luck to everyone!

No word from slu yet

as anybody heard from slu?

Still nothing here. A couple of people have posted on the SLU Facebook page that friends have called counselors who told them that it will be some time this week. One person said specifically Wednesday, but who knows? Overall, it sounds like no one who has posted has heard anything, so I guess that’s good news.

Daughter got the call this (Tuesday) afternoon from her regional recruiter. Got it. She said the recruiter had some explanation for why the news was delayed but she was too excited to pay attention. Good luck everyone – so nerve-wracking!

Ohio admission counselor is making calls now. My daughter did not get the full scholarship but was a “finalist” and was offered $2,000 per year in addition to her VP scholarship. I’m not sure if everyone who interviewed is considered a finalist or not.

I am a Presidential scholar

I’m from Illinois and have not gotten a call yet. Are they going to call even the people who aren’t presidential scholars or finalists?

Congrats, OldTiger and med007!

Ladyrunninred, I assume they are calling everyone. My daughter called her admissions counselor, but the counselor told her that she had started making calls and had planned to call my daughter as well. Hope your news is good.

@SwimMom87, thanks.

Good luck to everyone
