Has anyone in California received their Presidential Scholarship Invitation yet?

Nothing in Florida…ahh, well, goodbye scholarship opportunity :(

Nothing in California, yet. At least not here. good luck everyone!

I’m pretty sure that if you didn’t get it today, that means bad news. At the very least, you’re in for a very nerve-racking weekend. UPS doesn’t deliver tomorrow, Saturday, or Sunday, so you wouldn’t hear until Monday!!! Ughh… I’m sorry but I’ve given up hope, because that would be more than a week in transit, which just doesn’t sound possible. Anyway, good luck if you are still holding out for a package!

got my invite today in the mail! arrived around 2 pm in texas.
i just got home from vacation last night so it may not have been the first time they came…i’m not quite sure how ups deliveries work.

good luck to everybody else!

@prettycake, are you in east or west Texas?

It seems that no one west of Texas (and we’re not sure what part of Texas 'cake lives in) who has posted on CC has received the PSP UPS package. Nothing here in Colorado as of the 24th. If nothing arrives by Monday, then that means my D is not a candidate. I think California folks won’t hear till Monday also based on the UPS map.

crazylights - the same thing happened to me (twice!) First, it was a camera. Then it was a jacket. But after last Tuesday I pretty much figured out that I wasn’t qualified…Hehe.

Has anyone recieved an invitation on the west coast? Nothing here in California that I know of. Just about to give up hope…

Nope…nothing received in San Francisco California! Me thinks we’re outta luck by now… :(

Nothing in Colorado either. Oh well. Hoping financial aid package is helpful. Its weird that no one on CC west of Texas has posted about receinving the PSP letter/package.

Can somebody tell me how finalists have historically stacked up for places like Penn in the regular round? Good chances? Unrelated?

I live in Seattle, Washington. I received my PSP package yesterday.

Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions, my DS is a freshman P-scholar and I may be the only one who posts here on CC. Last year 60 were invited, 18 were selected, 12 accepted. The program is vying for students who will be accepted anywhere in the country and offers huge benefits in addition to full tuition. Books are essentially free, you are connected to mentors in your major and your pre-professional field (if you have one), paying jobs are available where P-scholars have first choice, they receive priority for freshman year housing and course selection, summer programs that look awesome on your resume PLUS you are paid a summer stipend, and summer room and board are covered. The summer programs and access to faculty are priceless. Most of these Pscholars are pretty incredibly smart and are a tight knit group, yet they are all different. The program is funded by Mario Gabelli and Peter Lynch (as well as others), and as a freshman my DS has already met them.

There is no “one” formula to succeed in the selection process. As for stats:
rank: 1/150
4.0 UW
NMF
14 AP, all 4/5 scores.
ACT:35
Coca Cola scholar
Accepted to WUSTL, Harvard, Georgetown, Northwestern.
By the way, LOVES BC! Loves the clasdes, the level of intellect, loves the sports and school pride, and has also found time for an beer once in a while.
