After being named as a semifinalist I'm unsure whether I should send other Test scores.
I submitted scores from an SAT from last March:
720M
730CR
660W
Then I recently sent my ACT scores:
30E
35M
35S
36R
28W/E:
Composite 34
However, the way Georgia Tech converts scores, my SAT scores are now:
790M
680CR
630W(E/W).
While this helps my Math score, I also recently retook the SAT and got:
740CR
700W
Both of these scores are higher than the original SATs and the ACT conversions.
Essentially, is it worth the extra money/effort to send my new SAT scores for the 50 additional points? Will the 50 points make any impact on my possibility of becoming a PSP finalist?

No scores taken after the October 2009 administration of the SAT will be considered, but Georgia Tech super-scores, meaning that only your highest scores from any test date/test type are used. However, once you make semi-finalist your standing in the competition has little to do with your stats and a lot more to do with your interview and non-academic aspects of your application. Best of Luck!

November scores will be considered.

Might as well send them in. I don’t think the slate gets wiped clean, so things like grades and test scores still count throughout the process.

Thank you.
Another quick question:
Does anyone know why the ACT reading score is not factored in for Georgia Tech’s conversion from ACT scores to SAT scores?

I think it is factored in. It converts to the Critical Reading component of the SAT.

Ok, I just figured if it was factored in equivalently to the english score then the Georgia Tech conversion would be closer to 730 instead of 680. Thanks
