Presidential Scholarship???

There are definitely ‘parameters’ listed for the scholarships on the website, and the admissions counselors probably default to those answers when questioned directly.

However, I think that Rutgers may be more holistic than you think when it comes to awarding scholarships.

Or maybe they just don’t have the manpower and things get awarded inconsistently.

I’m guessing it’s a little of everything.

In any case, if I were a top student, and I got awarded a lesser scholarship, or no scholarship, I’d definitely be making a polite inquiry to admissions. It can’t hurt, and according to posts on these boards, it sometimes works.

First, I realized mmsrishti already said he is SAS after I hit Post. Sorry, wasn’t paying attention.

Second, thanks for the suggestion about contacting them. I’ve heard that suggestion over and over, but can’t get D to do it. Once she hears from her last “dream school” and gets her feet back on the ground, I’ll push her to call. She really is extremely close to the parameters and has lots of extras.

Thanks rualum.
