Hi everyone. According to the chart on the scholarship website, it says if you have a 33 ACT and a certain gpa you are “in consideration” for a full ride. So what does this mean your actual chances are? I have a 33 ACT, 4.0 gpa, 2 of 425 class rank. I’m taking a gap year to go on foreign exchange, so I’m not applying till this summer. Does Auburn give this scholarship to most people who meet these requirements?

It used to be automatic. I guess they just changed that. It would be hard for me to say what your chances are as I don’t know how many applicants, that will not be National Merit Finalists, they plan to award the Presidential to. Apply and see what happens.

I was told that while it is not guaranteed, 100% of the students who qualified have received the scholarship the last two years.

For Alabama residents, the Presidential Scholarship is automatically rewarded if you meet the GPA and ACT/SAT requirements, but for out-of-state, it is not automatic.

I got it, and I was 20 pts above the SAT requirement.

I got it with a 33 ACT and a 3.76 weighted GPA, which is barely passed the minimum, so I’m sure you will be fine.
